Microsoftは、過去数か月間同社のウェブ製品からSilverlightを外し、HTML5やCSS3をはじめとする「近代ウェブ」技術のクロスプラットフォーム機能を採用しはじめている。ブラウザーをリサイズすると、写真のサムネイルも合わせてスムーズにリサイズされる。CSS3に移行したおかげだ。そして、元のアスペクト比はサムネイルでも保存されている。パノラマ写真でもそうだ。
